Employ Prince George’s, the county’s principal Workforce Development Entity, has partnered with 2U, Inc., a Lanham-based education technology company, to launch a scholarship program that would build the county’s pipeline of technical talent and put high-quality training programs within reach of our diverse residents.
The scholarship will allow historically underrepresented candidates in tech the opportunity to enroll in career accelerating boot camps in Coding, Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, and Digital Marketing at the George Washington University College of Professional Studies.
APPLICATIONS ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED
Prince George's County residents are eligible to apply to receive a scholarship towards enrollment in career-accelerating online boot camps in Coding, Data Analytics, UX/UI, Cybersecurity, or Digital Marketing through a partnership with 2U and the George Washington University College of Professional Studies.
Adult learners admitted into the program will receive a 65 percent tuition reduction, bringing the cost of the program down to $3,500. A 24-month, interest-free financing option will also be available. The deadline to apply is December 31, 2020 for part-time courses beginning in January and February 2021.
A review panel will evaluate your completed application. Priority will be given to the Black and Latinx communities, as well as women and individuals from low-income households.
