Industry Bridge Programs

Employ Prince George’s launched its inaugural Industry Bridge Program in 2017. Industry Bridge Programs are comprehensive workforce programs that align Workforce Services, Adult Education, and Occupational Skills Training to meet the workforce needs of specific In-Demand Industries in the DC Metropolitan Area.

By creating a singular focus on a specific industry sector, it allows the Board and the Community Network the ability to customize programming for Prince George’s County residents to meet the immediate needs of local businesses. Graduates of Industry Bridge Programs are in high demand due to their knowledge of the industry, industry-specific skills and qualifications, and industry-recognized credentials – which is what employers desire.

Industry Bridge Programs are led by Business Advisory Councils, comprised of Business Leaders in the DC Metropolitan Area that ensures each program is aligned with current industry trends and produces job seekers who can immediately contribute and be productive on the job.

Construction Works Program (CWP)

Construction is a high-demand, high-growth industry that powers the economy of the DC Metropolitan region. Led by business leaders across the region, the CWP program, aligns Career Services, Adult Education, and Occupational Skills Training to meet the evolving workforce needs of construction employers.

CWP programming is fully customized to address the immediate talent demands of local construction businesses, ensuring jobseekers are prepared with the skills employers need right now.
